Technique Tuesday #7

Hello friends!
It's time for Technique Tuesday!
I share a technique (or two) every Tuesday with Technique Tuesday products.
You can find Technique Tuesday products here over Scrapbook.com.

from: Scrapbook.com
(all product links are listed at the end of this post)
Iris

I stamped the image with my MISTI and used the lightest ink ( Altenew's ink Limestone) I have on hand. Once I did that, I ran the image along with the Iris Matching Die through my die cut machine with the Tan Embossing Mat.
Iris Card

The dry-embossing left with an etched lined image and detail. This is even better for Watercoloring! The embossed letterpress line creates a barrier and was great for water-coloring! I really enjoyed coloring images like this. It is in the right size for novice colorists like myself.

Iris

Once I finished with water-coloring, I added Gold Stickles to the border with the help of a Tim Holtz Steel Ruler. A few droplets of Wink of Stella (gold) didn't hurt, either!

Iris-001

I hope that you get inspired by my use of Tan Embossing Mat, stamp-matching dies and water-coloring! I will be featuring Flowers for Her next Tuesday!

I saw it on Scrapbook.com

What a beautiful Iris! I have irises in my yard that will be blooming for the 2nd time. The first year they bloomed In the summer to our delight as we planted them late. Our neighbors don't no what to think of the Florida people in Virginia with things that bloom at odd times! Our mums bloomed all summer as well!

Lovely! I am partial to Iris. At one time, before the Iris Borer took up residence, I had a lovely array of Iris. This stamp is really nice and your use of the die to emboss is brilliant as is your water coloring!

You know I just love this technique with the dry embossing. In this case, it makes the iris extra special. Your coloring is awesome and you chose a color of an iris I have blooming in my yard right now.
