Altenew Build-A-Flower: Lavender Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy November, my friends!
It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Build-A-Flower Lavender with a blog hop!
http://shrsl.com/1wqbq

If you arrive from the talented Nathalie DeSousa's blog  you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.
Please visit Altenew Card Blog for the blog details.

I don't know about you, but I think I don't use shades of purple enough...
However , it's all changed once I saw the stamp set with the Lavender!

Altenew-Build-a-Flower-Lavender-Virginia#1
By following the guide, I was able to stamp all the pieces very quickly.
I then pieced them together as a bunch.

The fun part was using the solid stamps. I inked up the lightest shades of purple and stamped the background. I really love the shadow effect that it gives. You MUST try that if you have not already!

Another awesome feature of this BAF Lavender is that gorgeous scripty font!
I decided to stamp a border-ish kind of background.

I then took out the fine twines that I got from my local Dollar store and tied them up as a bunch.
This card is dainty, pretty and complete!

...this is one gorgeous card Virginia! Everything about it is cohesive & beautiful with special touches in the soft lavender sprigs in the background to the lovely script at the bottom. I agree, I don't use purples enough either, yet dark purple is one of my favourite colours to wear.

Thanks for sharing your lovely design! I love the soft background lavender and the focal image die cut and raised. It gives a feeling of a larger bouquet blurred photographic technique except for the crisp raised image.

Wow factor using the lightest shade to creat shadows as almost looks like watercolor. I feel you on not using lavender or purple enough as such a gorgeous color. Stunning card.

Absolutely love the way you stamped the lavender sprigs in the lightest color as your background. What a great look for the card. This is a great set and one which I would use as I love lavender (starting to grow it again in my yard),
