Part of the fun in stamping, for me, is combining stamps sets that may not seem to belong together.
Today's card is one of those....
JOY (3)

Both of the stamp and die are great on its own.
However, combining the two seems to make a lot of sense!
JOY

I started out with stamping the Christmas tree in Distress Oxide. I love the feeling when the image started to "reveal itself" once stamped.
JOY (4)

Next comes the die cutting part. The great thing about this "JOY" die is that it is already set and there is no need to worry about positioning it. BUT wait.... see the Washi Tape?
JOY

Yeah, if you want to add an extra something something...
I added a piece of silver Washi to the stamped tree first. And then I did the die-cutting.
Of course, you can totally omit this Washi Tape part.

Joy (2)

I then added Glossy Accent over the colorful "ornament" to add some shine and 3D effect.
There you have it!

I love how you did the ornaments on the tree and great idea with the washi tape!

The way you incorporated the joy sentiment it looks like it is part of the tree. The silver washi tape looks nice on the sentiment and adds sparkle to the card. The Glossy Accents really makes the ornaments stand out.

What a pretty watercolored tree...think it's perfect with the camoflaged sentiment and the touch of bling.
