Stamp Focus: Classic Beauty

Hello friends!
It is my turn to share Stamp Focus with you over Altenew Card Blog.

One of the outstanding stamp sets in the November release is the "Classic Beauty". The name says it all. This set comes in 4 layered stamps for the rose and multiple leaf images that will make you want to try out the stamping possibilities.

I am sharing my 3 examples with this set and hopefully, the various designs would make you want to stamp, stamp and stamp. Let's dive right in!

For the first card, I started out with stamping a leafy border. The solid leaf stamps in this set deserve our attention. The leafy border was stamped in yellow and green.  I stamped the rose in  Citrus Burst, Sunray and Snapdragon.

TIP: use one of the layering stamp for embossing. Here I embossed the 3rd layered stamp in Antique Gold Crisp EP. Not only this give the focal point some textures, it also adds a lovely shine!

To keep the center free of splatter and white space, I covered it with a piece of scrap paper. I then used Antique Gold Metallic Spray for the splatter.

My next card is all about stamping. I am partial to the 3rd layering rose stamp, so I stamped a floral background with Crimson, Magenta and Cotton Candy. For the leaves, I stamped them in Silver Lake and Gray Denim.

TIP: when stamping a busy pattern background, it is best to start from the main images. For example, the rose in Crimson was stamped first. You can then stamp around the images and keep the space in good balance.

The Metallic Silver Brush Marker (Winter Watercolor Brush Markers) is great for the added splatter!  I stamped the sentiment in grey paper( from Essential Rock Collection) and added s sliver of Silver Washi Tape.

My last card involves masking, stenciling and embossing. The masks in the Classic Beauty Stamp , Die and Stencil Bundle used in stamping the focal point. I love the contrast of yellow (Sunray, Citrus Burst and Marigold) and purple (Wisteria, Hydrangea and Andromeda) roses.

The roses and leaves were easy to line up. With the masks, I was able to layer each color accordingly. The background was stenciled with Doily Frame Stencil in Tropical Forest.

TIP: to elevate the colors of the stamped images, it is always a good idea to add a piece of Washi Tape. The Gilded Ombre Washi Tape accentuates the color of gold and deep purple.

I hope my 3 designs with Classic Beauty gives you some inspiration and ideas.  I sure had a blast creating these cards since the stamp set is so fabulously and thoughtfully designed.

I'm assuming I don't have to choose which I LOVE more because that would be impossible. Clever use of this set from the sunny, yellow rose framed with the colorful leaves, the brilliant background you created with pinks, reds and greys, then the beautiful purple/yellow rose combination with the sweet, soft doily. All outstanding in my book.

Wow, these cards are awesome Virginia! I love how you used the third layer to emboss on your first card. Love how the red, pink and grey worked on your second card and love the 3 different techniques used on your 3rd card.
