Creative Takes with the Gradient Cardstock

Hello friends!
It is my turn to share projects with you over Altenew Card Blog.

The recent release  of the new Gradient Cardstock was such a welcome one. They were so popular that it was no surprise they were nearly sold out on the day of release! They are awesome for creating with dies, especially the layering floral dies. I am sharing other ways with the Gradient Cardstock and hopefully, my two projects will spark your creativity is using these colorful cardstock.

My first card takes on the play with Color-blocking. You often see color-blocking in fashion, ads...and all kinds of designs. It is fun, easy and impactful.

I took out the card stock from Summer Afternoon, Cheery Blossom and Shades of Purple and started playing.

This resulted with a very colorful and striking background. I only added a butterfly from Mix & Match Mariposa Die Set. To highlight the white, I white-embossed the sentiment from "Fancy Greeting". This card is sweet and eye-catching, right?

My 2nd card looks more intricate and detailed. I started out with small strips of cardstock from Summer Afternoon, Cheery Blossom and Shades of Purple. I glued them to a piece of copy paper and then ran them through my Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine with Crystal Frame Die Set.

I then made another die cut with white card stock and carefully placed the white intricate frame over the colorful one.  The Fancy Thanks Die truly makes this card "sing"!

I added stenciled details with Floral Garden Stencil and Antique Silver Metallic Spray Mist. For the final embellishments, I added sequins and strings.

The Gradient Cardstock are compatible now matter how you use them.
How cool is  that!?  Hope you give these ideas a try!

Amazing color the splash of yellow against those purple-y/ pink hues. It provides so much interest. And the second card is elegant with the stripes juxtaposed on the stenciling and splatters. Also, the Virginia touches are just perfect.

Very creative Virginia. I tried to order some but all sold out by the time I got around to get on the store. I'll keep an eye out for them to restock. Love this idea of colour blocking and make a multicoloured piece. said...
