Hello friends!
Often times we purchase a die/stamp, we like to use it as IS.
Now, there is nothing wrong with that.
In fact, that's why we fall in love at first sight and prompted us to just "get it"!

I water-colored the die piece "Floral Arrangement" a while ago and finally, I got around to create a card. I wanted to do something a little different (you know me) than last time.
I also have various piece of vellum with alcohol ink.
With some alteration, I came up with this design. I realized that the original die cut piece doesn't really go with the composition that I intended, so I cut it up and arranged it how I like it.

I white-embossed the sentiment and used it as the focal point.
to keep it in good balance, I also embossed the white card stock for some good textures with "Row of Stitches".

You know how I feel about yellow roses ..... this is lovely, Virginia!
I love that background die!! Beautiful card!
Beautiful card, Virginia! The colors are soft and lovely, and your transformation of this die is a wonderful idea. It's always a good idea to stretch our supplies, and this sweet card is the perfect example of that. Thanks for sharing! Bev
Beautiful design and thanks for the reminder of looking at our supplies in different ways.
This is stunning, Virginia. I love how you colored those roses. And what a great idea to use alcohol inks on vellum. I just played with alcohol inks for the first time last week. They're a lot of fun!!
Such a gorgeous card, Virginia! I love how you made this die 'your own' and using vellum was so clever! LOVE your color palette, too!
Just love how you watercolored that floral spray, Virginia! Perfect with the stitched background!!
You certainly altered it well. Love how it's colored, of course, but I'm really crazy about how you made is cradle the sentiment and the lovely background stitches.
Pretty card! Great idea to cut the design apart to use sections of it. Love the textured background too!
A truly lovely card. I have begun to look at stencils more creatively. I have to admit this is a real challenge for me.
I love your row of stitches on both side of that stunning focal point. The coloring of your flowers is just STUNNING!!
LOVE the colors on this beautiful card!
The stitches on the edges are fantastic! This is such a beautiful card Virginia!!
Gorgeous, Virginia! Love the awesome design & pretty colors. Had not thought to use alcohol inks on vellum. What a great touch!
I really like the combination of the alcohol-inked vellum and the floral arrangement die. The colors blend so well together. The row of stitches on the card sides is a great addition.
