Altenew Build-A-Flower: Fashion Monger Dahlia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

 Happy August, my friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Build-A-Flower Fashion Monger Dahlia with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Jenny Colacicco, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

Dahlia flowers are popular and beautiful and come in so many colors. I did a quick Google search and went with the light colored petals with the deep pink in the center.

To show off the exquisite details of the leaves, I decided to white-emboss them on vellum. I colored some of them on the back of the leaves with Artist Markers (Sea Shore colors).

For the flowers, I followed the guide and stamped it on regular card-stock.

To add some textures, I ran the white card stock with Monstera 3D Embossing Folder.
This gives the overall design some subtle depth and interest.

Lastly, I stamped, fussy cut and then popped the sentiment up.Altenew-BAF Fashion Monger Dahlia-Monstera Leaves3D Embossing Folder-003

I hope that you like my interpretation. I made ONE more version with this stamp set. It is completely different from today's card. Be sure to come back to check it out!
