Altenew Paint-A-Flower: White Swan Echinacea Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ( $200 in total prizes)

 Hello friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Paint-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Paint-A-Flower White Swan Enchinacea with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Jenny Colacicco, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.
You can find out all blog hop details over Altenew Card Blog.

Altenew-PAF White Swan Echinace-Trellis Stencil-Watercolor Brush Markers

As you can see, I took a very bright and watercolor approach on this design.  I started out with stamping both top and bottom images with the stamp-positioner MISTI.

I may have gotten a tad liberal with the watercolor. That is because I had too much fun with the ink-smooshing.   I love using Watercolor Brush Markers for the instant coloring.

With a piece of acetate, you can mix in any colors as you wish ... just a squeeze of the watercolor markers.

I love this approach, it feels so freehand and fun! I would have loved to see what Watercolor Brush Markers are all about, but the product links don't seem to be working. (I use Firefox)

Wow, Virginia, this card is awesome! LOVE the bold colors and the ink smoothing is amazing. I must try this, although I fear I will end up with a muddy mess. The gold glitter strip is a nice touch, and the sentiments in this set are lovely. Thanks for always inspiring us.

Very pretty watercolor effect. I just started using acetate for my splatters, I really like the way it looks and you can place the splatters exactly where you need them.

I must agree with all the other comments how I love the flowers stamped in multicolors and smooshed into variety of colors, too. Your smooshing is more controlled than others I have seen; the colors are still separate, but filling the florals with all the colors! I think you maybe smooshed each color separately? I'd love to see your process.

Such a colorful, happy card. I really like this stamp set and your coloring technique.

Robin said...

Love the colorful effect of the technique you used. I can't wait to give this a try.

Roxy T said...

I like how you stamped the outline image in different colors. I am guessing you spritzed the colors on the acetate and then touched the stamp to it? This looks like one of those techniques where you make a dozen or so just because its fun.
