It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
June's Build-A-Flower: Larkspur set includes 1 6x8 stamp set ( stamp images) and 1
coordinating die set ( dies).
Larkspurs belong to the buttercup family and are native throughout the Northern Hemisphere. The flowers bloom in a variety of colors from white to blue-violet. Larkspur flowers are irregularly shaped and bloom loosely along a vertical stem. This stamp set includes a five layer larkspur bloom, three-layer leaf, and 11 sentiment words. There are flower and leaf outline images included, which can be used with the layer images or on their own with different coloring mediums.
Build-A-Flower: Larkspur
First, I did masking with my design and had lots of fun to stamp with the most detailed layer!
This is the best part of this stamp set.... Since they are so deeply etched, you don't need to add a lot of details and they look pretty amazing!
Once I did the masking, I decided to use the matching die to cut out the images. Carefully, I stamped and then placed the colored pieces back in their place.

I know I could have taken the easy route: pop up the stamped flowers with foam dots
But then I was having too much fun and wanted to challenge myself to do something a bit intricate and different. I also added the Creative Border Lace die at the bottom.

Virginia, you know you are just in awe when you cover your mouth and realize it is hanging wide open as you look at this creation!!!! Sheer loveliness and I DESIRE that die, paired with the lavender the lace edge die and elegant flowers, Ahhhhhhhhhhhh moment!

Virginia, your card, as usual, is beautiful! I particularly love two elements on your card -- how you accented one of the flowers and leaves by coloring that one set completely while the other sets only have the outlines stamped in color, plus your use of the border die on the bottom of the top panel.

There's always so much to love about your cards! The combination of the shades of violet and the rose petals inks makes the flower look so vibrant. The outline "echoes" around it are a beautiful background, and the lacy border is a great accompaniment to this flower. Thanks for sharing this with us!
